Rialto Middle School
Dr. Robin McMillon - Proud RMS Principal
I want to take this opportunity to welcome you and your family to a new academic school year. The 20-21 school year will start with the initiation of the RUSD Bridge Academy Distance Learning model and eventually transition to a hybrid instructional model once the county and state health experts deem it’s safe to return to site-based instruction on campus.
During the RUSD Bridge Distance Learning instructional model, all students at Rialto Middle School will receive daily direct instruction from their classroom teachers. Unlike the 19-20 spring semester distance learning program, all students must actively participate in daily instruction as grades will be assigned, and attendance will be taken during every instructional period. If at any time your student is unable to attend their assigned distance learning classes, please make direct contact with their classroom teachers and develop a plan to ensure your student has an opportunity to make up any missed assignments.
See Guest Speakers and Break Out sessions on a variety of topics including Mental Health & Wellness, Equity & Access, Student Performances, and presentations from your student's school. You will have access to the virtual conference environment starting January 30, 2021 at 9 a.m. Our opening messages and speakers will begin at 9 a.m. in the auditorium. Keep in mind, registered attendees will have access to all of the virtual conference environment and content until March 30, 2021.
Rialto Middle School, in collaboration with the District Office, will offer after-school tutoring support during the second semester. Tutoring Support will be offered in the areas of English Language Arts and Math. All student participants will have up to two-hours of support and tutoring intervention. (Space is Limited and based on the order of sign-ups).
