PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE/MENSAJE DE LA DIRECTORA
Dear Bobcat Families,
Welcome to a new adventure for the 2025-26 school year!
I am honored and excited to serve as your new principal for the upcoming school year. I have worked in the Rialto Unified School District for over 26 years - in roles ranging from Spanish teacher, Activities Director, Emerging Linguist (instructional coach), to my most recent position as Assistant Principal here at Bemis. I am truly blessed to continue my adventure here at Bemis, a Leader in Me and Dual Language Immersion school.
Elementary is a magical place where so much growth happens and many lessons are learned along the way. Our instructional practices provide a rigorous academic experience with a focus on safety and building a unified community with our students, staff and families and, of course, some sprinkles of fun.
This year, we will continue our academic focus on the CAASPP Deep Dive, strengthening our writing using the research-based Nancy Fetzer Writing Program, improving our reading with the researched-based SIPPS program, reading books daily for the AR program, and improving our foundational digital literacy and technology skills with the Typing.com program.
We are proud to be recognized as a Green Ribbon School by the California Department of Education and remain committed to our goals of reducing paper consumption, supporting our Cafeteria Ranger Program, and expanding our outdoor STEAM classroom garden opportunities.
This year, our theme is, “One Heartbeat.” This powerful phrase represents our commitment to working together with a shared purpose, to inspire a love of learning and help each student reach their fullest potential.
