Mr. Marlon McMillon

In teaching, there is never a dull moment. I have been teaching for 9 years. My motivation to teach came from my two older brothers who are educators. Currently, I teach sixth grade Math and Science.

I'll leave you with a Kobe Bryant quote: "Everything negative – pressure, challenges – is all an opportunity for me to rise."

Mrs. Seryna Huynh

Hello, everyone! My name is Mrs. Seryna Huynh. My last name is pronounced like "Wynn," but with an "H." I have been in education for over 18 years. My favorite subjects are math and science. I have experience working at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. This is my second year teaching math at Rialto Middle School.

Education has been my passion since I was a child. My parents instilled in me the incredible opportunities education opens to every person and the wonderful changes to the world around us. My teachers throughout my life have shown me the joy and fulfillment that comes with sharing knowledge and creating new solutions possible with learning. They have inspired me to pass on my knowledge and to make a difference in the lives of as many students as I can.

Ms. Sophia Ojeda

Hi! My name is Sophia Ojeda and I am a first-year teacher at Rialto Middle School. When I was in 8th grade I realized that I had a passion for mathematics. As an EL student, I always felt more comfortable working with math because to me it was a universal language. No matter where you go or what language you speak, 2+2 will always be 4.

My goal as a teacher is to show my students the many opportunities that education can bring to their lives. As a math teacher, I want to encourage students to think like mathematicians!

Ms. Teresa Capalla

I became a teacher because I love watching the wonder and excitement people feel when they learn something. Everyone can learn, and I enjoy the challenge of helping people do that. Teaching is also my way of investing in the future. Our students are game-changers, earth-shakers, and history-makers who are going to change their world, and it is a privilege to be a part of their story.
