Dear Wonderful Boyd Families,

I am excited to introduce myself as your Acting Principal at Boyd while Ms. Van Belle is away. My name is Elizabeth (Liz) Alegre-Punchur, and I am currently serving as the Assistant Principal at Garcia Elementary. I am honored to have been asked by the district to step into this role and support the Boyd community.

Throughout my career in the Rialto Unified School District, I have had the privilege of working in various roles, including Teacher, Instructional Strategist, Program Specialist, and Assistant Principal. My experience spans across six elementary schools within our district. Rialto Unified is more than just a school district to me; it is my family. As the acting principal at  Boyd, my goal is to provide unwavering support and leadership to ensure a positive and enriching educational experience for everyone involved.

I am genuinely looking forward to getting to know many of you and partnering with you in the journey ahead. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have. Together, we will continue to foster a culture of excellence and success at Boyd.

Me complace presentarme como su directora interina en Boyd mientras la Sra. Van Belle está fuera. Mi nombre es Elizabeth (Liz) Alegre-Punchur y actualmente me desempeño como subdirectora en la Escuela Primaria García. Es un honor para mí que el distrito me haya pedido que asumiera este papel y apoyara a la comunidad de Boyd..

A lo largo de mi carrera en el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Rialto, he tenido el privilegio de trabajar en varios roles, incluyendo maestra, estratega de instrucción, especialista de programas y subdirector. Mi experiencia abarca seis escuelas primarias dentro de nuestro distrito. Para mí, el Distrito Unificado de Rialto es más que simplemente un distrito escolar; es mi familia. Como directora interina en Boyd, mi meta es brindar apoyo y liderazgo inquebrantables para garantizar una experiencia educativa positiva y enriquecedora para todos los involucrados. 

Tengo muchas ganas de conocer a muchos de ustedes y colaborar con ustedes en la trayectoria que tenemos por delante. No dude en comunicarse conmigo si tiene alguna pregunta, inquietud o idea. Juntos, continuaremos fomentando una cultura de excelencia y éxito en Boyd.

Welcome Boyd Bulldogs to the 2023-2024 school year!

Dear parents and guardians,

 It is with great pleasure and excitement that I write to introduce myself as the new Principal of Boyd Elementary.  My name is Diocelina Van Belle, and I am truly honored to join this beautiful school, working alongside a team of dedicated educators and staff, to provide the best learning experience for our scholars.

Let me take this opportunity to share a little about my background and journey in education. I have been an educator for 27 years, with a strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.  My passion for education has led me to various educational roles.  I have served as an elementary teacher, English Learner coach, and acting principal before joining this incredible community.

As the new Principal, my foremost priority is the well-being and academic growth of our students. I believe that education is not just about academics but also about nurturing the students' social and emotional development. Together with the talented team of teachers and staff, I am dedicated to creating an environment where every student feels safe, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.

I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to partnering with all of you in shaping a bright and successful future for our students. Together, we will continue to build a school community where every child is empowered to flourish.
