    Dr. Cuauhtémoc Avila, RUSD Superintendent

On behalf of our board of education, I want to wish our students, families, and staff a safe and happy holiday season. I commend you for your strength during this unusual and challenging first half of the school year and thank you for your continued support towards the good of our community. The COVID numbers in our area remain high. And out of responsible caution, the District will not return to in-person instruction in January as previously anticipated. My office will review COVID numbers in January and make a decision whether or not to remain in Bridge Academy for the remainder of the school year. Our current reality is frustrating, but I am confident that with the right attitude and our spirit of unity, we will emerge from this experience with a greater sense of purpose and take advantage of the good that comes with in-person instruction.

If you have questions, please call Communications/Media Services at (909) 820-7700, ext. 2123 or email us at info@rialtousd.org. In the meantime, I encourage you to do your part to follow COVID -19 related guidelines so that we can open our schools, sooner rather than later.
