Ballet Folklorico de Garcia was established in 2014 by two Garcia parents with deep roots and experience with the art of Ballet Folklorico. Mrs. Ivonne Perez and Mrs. Rebecca Gonzalez began a program with our students that has enabled over 300 Garcia students to learn the history and dances of Mexico since its inception. Mrs. Ivonne Perez has continued to lead for the past seven years and has developed a program that has taken Ballet Folklorico de Garcia to perform throughout the City of Rialto, county and at various other venues. Students learn about the dances from different regions including the history and traditions.

Ballet Folklorico de Garcia brings great pride to our school and we look forward to many more years of tradition

Mrs. Ivonne Perez is a Noon Duty Aide at Garcia Elementary School. She is also

an active parent volunteer. She no longer has students at Garcia, but continues

to give her time to teach Ballet Folklorico de Garcia. She was a dancer in Mexico

and was part of a large dance company or group. She has a passion and love for the

the Performing Arts. She hopes to continue Ballet Folklorico de Garcia in person.
