  • GENERAL INFORMATION

     

    All summer school courses are offered contingent upon authorization and funding by the California State Department of Education. The Rialto Unified School District reserves the right to cancel any or all course offerings. 

    District dress code and school site rules apply for all students attending summer school classes. Unacceptable behavior may result in removal from summer school classes. 

    District transportation is NOT provided during summer school.

    Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all students.

    Attendance: 
    If students are absent on the first day of class, or absent from class a total of 2 days, they will be dropped from the class and summer school after the second absence. Students who do not complete the academic summer school may forfeit future summer school enrollment opportunities. 

    No textbooks will be needed.
    Chromebooks are required to be used each day.




    ACADEMIC CLASSES – GRADES 6 - 8 

    Students are receiving 6 hours of exposure to the curriculum each day for 9 days.


    This year we will be offering the classes listed below during summer school. To register for a given class, please click the link below. Students enrolled in Math and ELA intervention will be receiving 2.5 hours of Math instruction and 2.5 hours of ELA instruction every day.

    Math Intervention - Designed for students that need to develop and strengthen their math skills with iReady scores that are one or two grade levels below. 

    ELA intervention - Designed for students that need to develop and strengthen their ELA skills with iReady scores that are one or two grade levels below. 


    English Language Development (ELD) - Designed for students learning English as a second language with 1-3 years in the United States. 

     


    If you are interested in your student attending summer school, please complete the appropriate form next to each class description for each student you are enrolling in Summer School no later than May 10.
