I am an outdoors type of person. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, and fishing, I was an electrical/mechanical designer before teaching. I did decide to change careers and turned to teach. I have worked with outdoor youth groups for years and that is when I decided teaching would give me a chance to help others. I picked science which I started as an Earth Science teacher and decided to come down to middle school and have enjoyed working with my students.

My family and I came from El Salvador, so growing up my parents motivated me to pursue my dreams, despite our hardships.
