ABOUT DR. SCHESSLER
I am now beginning my 40th year in this wonderful profession. I have had the pleasure of working in schools in the US as well as in Saltillo, Mexico. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work for differing amounts of time in the following areas: preschool, elementary school, junior high school, high school, adult education, and at the university level. I began my post-secondary education at Chaffey Community College and then transferred to Point Loma Nazarene University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. Later, I pursued my Master’s Degree in Education at Cal State San Bernardino. I completed my Doctoral degree at Azusa Pacific University. I also did some university coursework at Cal Poly Pomona, UC Riverside, and Mount San Antonio College. I enjoy reaching out to students in hopes of inspiring them to take the right steps and make the right choices in order to be successful in pursuing their dreams. For leisure, I like to spend time with family and in my garden with my 60 fruit trees, grape vines, and boysenberry vines. I have a passion for bicycling and have had the opportunity to ride my bicycle 120 miles in one day on a trip in Mexico. I have also ventured 1,600 miles on my bicycle during a summer vacation trip in 1984. I am looking forward to an outstanding school year.
My duties at Carter High School include among other things: 504 Accommodation Plans, Transportation, and Maintenance and Operations.
My departments: CTE Pathways, Social Sciences and Sciences
