Dr. Stephanie E. Lewis

Dr. Stephanie E. Lewis was elected to the Rialto Unified School District Board of Education in 2020. A proud parent and longtime Rialto resident, Dr. Lewis brings extensive professional expertise and a deep commitment to her community. She is a Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Mental Health Specialist, with a notable history of public service as a former Transportation Commissioner for the City of Rialto. Dr. Lewis currently coordinates the High-Risk Infant Follow-Up Program at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and serves as a Nurse Consultant for Southern California Easterseals, Child Development Services. In addition to her clinical roles, she is a dedicated educator, serving as an Assistant Professor at the College of Graduate Nursing at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and as a Professor of Pediatrics for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Phoenix Graduate School of Nursing.

Joseph W. Martinez

Mr. Joseph W. Martinez was first elected to the Rialto Unified School District Board of Education in 2008. He has been reelected four consecutive times and is currently serving his term, which expires in 2024. A retired classified employee and former classified union president, Mr. Martinez is an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Rialto. Affectionately known as “Mr. STEM” due to his passion for technology and STEM education, Mr. Martinez has held various leadership roles on the Board, including President, Vice President, and Clerk. He resides in the City of Rialto with his wife.

Edgar Montes

Mr. Edgar Montes was successfully elected to the Rialto Unified School District Board of Education seat in 2010. He has been reelected three consecutive times, and is currently serving his four-year term which expires in 2026. He has served in the capacity of President, Vice President, and Clerk for the Board of Education. Mr. Montes and his wife are proud parents of two RUSD graduates and one child currently enrolled in the district.

Evelyn P. Dominguez, LVN

Mrs. Evelyn P. Dominguez was elected to the Rialto Unified School District Board of Education in 2022, making history as the first Latina to serve on the Board. A parent leader at Boyd Elementary School and a compassionate nurse, Mrs. Dominguez brings both advocacy and professional expertise to her role. Born in Guatemala, she moved to California at the age of 5 and has lived in the Inland Empire for nearly 30 years. A 2003 graduate of Kaiser High School in Fontana, Mrs. Dominguez earned her Licensed Vocational Nurse certification from Chaffey College in 2014. She now resides in the City of Rialto with her husband and three children.

Dakira R. Williams

Mrs. Dakira R. Williams was elected to the Rialto Unified School District Board of Education in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Marketing from Howard University and has received specialized training in mediation, negotiation, project management, government subcontracting, and Six Sigma. Mrs. Williams built much of her career in the defense and aerospace industry, focusing on supply chain management, and now owns and operates a small business based in the Inland Empire. A longtime resident of Rialto, Mrs. Williams is an active parent and community member. She has contributed significantly to her community through her involvement with the PTA, District Advisory Committee, School Site Council, and Parent Advisory Committee.

Ivan Manzo

Student Member

Ivan Manzo is a senior at Eisenhower High School and serves as the 2024-2025 Student Member of the Rialto Unified School District Board of Education. A proud alumnus of Curtis Elementary School and Rialto Middle School, Ivan is an active and dedicated student leader, passionate about amplifying student voices across the District. In addition to his leadership roles, Ivan enjoys playing music and serves as the Orchestra Section Leader at Eisenhower High School. Among his academic pursuits, Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus stands out as his favorite class.
