(ie: Teachers, Counselors, Nurses, Speech/Language/Hearing Teachers, etc.)

Applications are accepted only as vacancies in specific areas exist. Applications must be complete with all requested information/documentation. Applications remain active for one year.

The candidate is responsible for providing these records.

    Interview, Selection and Employment Process

As vacancies occur, applicants are contacted for interviews. Individuals not recommended for a specific vacancy will continue to be considered for other positions. After a final interview with a site Principal or Director of a Program, all formal offers of contract employment are made through the Personnel Services Office.

Because of the varied needs of our students, teachers new to the District are required to have an English Learner authorization.

    CLASSIFIED EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION PROCESS

(ie: Secretaries, Groundsmen, Custodians, Instructional Assistants, etc.)

Applications are only accepted as vacancies occur. Specific instructions regarding required documentation that needs to accompany the district application as well as appropriate deadlines are noted on the individual job postings. Applications and supporting materials will not be accepted after the closing date/time. After the closing date, applications and supporting documentation are reviewed for qualifying information.

    Examinations and Interview Process

Eligible applicants are notified of test date(s), time and place via email. District employees interested in a transfer must file a request with the Personnel Office no later than the closing date and time listed on the job posting. Depending on job specific requirements, testing may include a computer software exam (typing), written and oral assessments. (Applicants must successfully pass all required test(s) in order to be considered further). Applicants are selected for an interview only after the candidates have successfully passed required test(s). Based on all examination results, an eligibility list is established. Candidates receive a notice of results via email.

When future vacancies occur in the school district, the Personnel Office refers the names of the available candidates on the appropriate eligibility list and names of current employees who are on the transfer and reinstatement lists for final interviews.
