Alumni Nominated To President-Elect Biden's staff - December 2020

  • Adewale "Wally" Adeyemo, class of 1999, was announced as a nominee for President-elect Joe Biden. Biden picked Obama Foundation president and economist Adewale “Wally” Adeyemo on Monday to be deputy secretary of the Treasury.

  • EHS can now add an Emmy winner to our list of accomplished Eagles. Vaness Rumbles, class of 2003, received an Outstanding News Analysis: Editorial and Opinion Emmy for her work with CNN as a line producer.

Artist Makes a Special Drop at Ike - 2020

  • Artist Joshua Vides, class of 04, recently chose Eisenhower as a place to drop a free pair of his custom Converse & announced the drop on Instagram. He's only made two other drops before Eisenhower, in San Francisco and in LA. You can find out more about his Converse collaboration here: Joshua Vides.

Breakfast in the Classroom - August 2019

  • Previously students might miss breakfast. Now a meal is delivered to the classroom before their second-period class. We went from serving 400 students to 2,500 at Eisenhower High.

    Already implemented at eight Rialto Unified elementary schools, Eisenhower is the only Inland Empire high school to have the anti-hunger Breakfast in the Classroom program. On Tuesday, Nov. 19, school and district officials demonstrated the process for peers from neighboring cities.

Performing Arts Center Grand Opening - April 2019

  • A beautiful and modern Performing Arts Center was opened on April 4, 2019. As part of the opening, choir, theater, and band students performed in the state of the art facility. Art students had their incredible work on display. District personnel and members of the community all took part in the cutting of the ribbon. After the performances, a reception was catered by Rialto Nutrition Services. More photos from the event can be found in the photo gallery.

Academic Decathlon In the News - February 2019

  • Eisenhower's Green and Gold competed in the San Bernardino County Academic Decathlon subject exams and Super Quiz with about 45 other teams. The San Bernardino Sun published a front page article with a picture of one of our students.

  • November 16, 2018 Congratulations to football player  Joel Ayala for being voted as the SoCal Athlete of the Week! Final tally: Joel Ayala - 45,049 vs Jesus Padilla - 42,792. Thanks for voting everyone!!

Nafissa Thompson, Class of 2000, Nominated for National Book Award - 2018

  • Nafissa Thompson's (c/o 2000) book, Heads of the Colored People, was long-listed for the 2018 National Book Award for Fiction. Thompson had school librarian, Ms. Sandy Alps, for an AP English class and thanked her in the book credits. Thompson graduated with a PhD from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Illinois.

Ronnie Lott Stadium Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - May 2018

  • Ronnie Lott returned to his alma mater to help open the new and upgraded stadium that bears his name. After the grand opening, Ronnie Lott enjoyed a reception in his honor. More photos from the event can be found in the photo gallery.

Cross Country Team Wins $1000 - October 2017

  • Several members of the EHS Cross Country team participated in the City of Rialto's Run The Rocks 5K. The team won $500 for being the fastest high school team. They also won $500 as Coach Nilsson was the first female teacher to finish.

Coco Wilcots Foundation Donates to EHS Football - September 2017

  • The Coco Wilcots Foundation presented the Eisenhower High School Football team with a donation in response to their online fundraising campaign. They "are honored to be able to donate to our dear Coach Coco's alma mater!"

Barnes & Noble - My Favorite Teacher Winner - 2017

  • My favorite teacher logo English teacher, Angel Arratia, was recognized by Barnes and Noble as the 2017 Regional Winner of the My Favorite Teacher contest. He was nominated by Eliza Piedra-Lara. Both of them received certificates from Barnes and Noble.

Art Students Create Portraits For Children in Columbia - 2016

  • Students in Ms. Andrea Swindle's art classes participated in The Memory Project. According to the project website:

    "The Memory Project is a charitable nonprofit organization that invites art teachers and their students to create portraits for youth around the world who have faced substantial challenges, such as neglect, abuse, loss of parents, violence, and extreme poverty.

    We want the portraits to help the children feel valued and important, to know that many people care about their well being, and to act as meaningful pieces of personal history in the future.  For the art students, we want this to be an opportunity to creatively practice kindness and global awareness."

    The portraits were delivered to the children in Columbia.

Deja Thompson Captures CCAA Player of the Week Honors - October 2016

  • Deja Thompson, class of '14, recently received California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Player of the Week honors for her university, Cal State East Bay. Thompson, a sophomore at CSUEB, was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 10-16.

Ronnie Lott Returns To Ike As Part of Pro Football Hall of Fame and Ford Hometown Recognition - May 2016

  • National Football League Hall of Fame great and Eisenhower alumnus, Ronnie Lott, returned to Eisenhower on May 9, 2016. He unveiled a plaque from the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Ford Motor Company recognizing Rialto as the official hometown of Ronnie Lott. The plaque was dedicated to Eisenhower High School and will be mounted on the new football stadium upon its completion. Pro Football Hometown Hall of Famers Program.

Harris Named Mountain West Tournament Most Outstanding Player - March 2016

  • Marvelle Harris, c/o '12, helped lead his Fresno State basketball team to a Mountain West Championship and their first berth in the NCAA Basketball tournament since 2001.

Ike Baseball Plays Against South Korea - February 2016

  • Our Eisenhower baseball team had the opportunity to experience international baseball when a visiting team from a baseball academy in South Korea played here on February 17, 2016. Before the game, both teams posed together for a group photo.

  • As part of President's Day, local newspaper Riverside Press Enterprise featured five places in the Inland Empire famous for presidential tributes. EHS was featured for the visit of Dwight D. Eisenhower and for the Eisenhower bust. Check it out.

EHS Receives Three NFL Golden Footballs - February 2016

  • As part of the NFL's celebration of Super Bowl 50, the Super Bowl High School Honor Roll celebrates the high schools and communities that have contributed to Super Bowl history. This platform is designed to link the past 49 Super Bowls with this year's game and honor the high schools and communities that have positively impacted the game.
    Super Bowl High School Honor Roll schools will receive a commemorative Golden Football produced by Wilson for every player or head coach who graduated from the high school and was on an active Super Bowl roster.
    Eisenhower High School received three footballs honoring the following players:

    • Ronnie Lott ('77) - Super Bowls 16, 19, 23, 24
    • David Lang ('86) - Super Bowl 30
    • Craig Newsome ('89) - Super Bowl 31

EHS Students Get Free CPR Training - January 2016

  • On Friday, January 29, 2016, students at EHS took part in free compression-only CPR training provided by Rialto Fire and AMR. The students were scheduled through their English classes and by the end of the day almost 2200 students were trained.

Harris Named MW Preseason Player of the Year - 2015

  • Marvelle Harris, class of '12, and Fresno State senior guard, earned 2015-16 Mountain West conference Preseason Player of the Year honors.

Congratulations To EHS Band - November 2015

  • The EHS Golden Eagle Marching Regiment placed 6th out of 10 in Las Vegas at the MBOS Preliminaries at Las Vegas HS on 11/8 bringing back a rating of EXCELLENT.
    The Regiment hosted a SCJA Competition at EHS this past Wednesday, 11/12 and took first place in their division, securing a spot in the State Semi finals on Saturday, 11/15.
    During the Semi Final competition this past Saturday, the Regiment placed in the top 8 out of 18, securing an invitation to the CSBC/SCJA State Championships this Saturday, 11/22.

NAACP Recognition - 2015

  • The NAACP honored 3 students with the highest GPA in the Rialto Unified School district.  Eisenhower High School had the three students with the highest GPA in RUSD - Rubi Casas, Viridiana Murillo, and Jade Lynn.

Alumni Receives Scholarship To Pursue Doctoral Studies - 2015

  • Brittany Garcia, an Eisenhower graduate and a Cal State San Bernardino President’s Academic Excellence Scholar who recently graduated magna cum laude, is the recipient of a $40,000 scholarship. She plans to use the scholarship toward her doctoral studies at the University of California, Davis, where she will be majoring in epidemiology.

  • At the San Bernardino County Academic Decathlon awards banquet, there were 41 teams in the competition. Eisenhower finished 16th overall. John Paul Abadines earned the team high score for the 2nd year in a row.

Cheer and Dance Competition - 2015

  • Congratulations to Ike Cheer Squad and Dance Teams on their recent competition. Cheer won first place and Judges Choice. Dance teams won 2 first places and one 2nd place. Ike Dance won Sharp Championship for highest total points!

Students Recognized By RUSD, April 2015

  • Mrs. Morris and her students were recognized at the April 8th Rialto Unified Board Meeting. The Government, Economics, and History students received certificates for their participation in Digital Storytelling: Promoting Student Engagement and Critical Thinking Through Online Collaboration.

  • Congratulations to Aaryon Green who signed her Letter of Intent to Division I Long Beach State! Aaryon, a 4 year Varsity athlete, was surrounded by her family and members of the Lady Eagles basketball team as she signed her letter. The EHS Pep Squad was also at the signing party in the Eisenhower cafeteria.
