The ELPAC is used to identify and measure EL students' progress toward English language proficiency. It also helps determine proper educational placements which will ensure that students receive the appropriate supports they need to be successful in school. EL students continue to take the Summative ELPAC annually until they meet reclassification criteria.

ELPAC Starting Smarter
The Starting Smarter website is available in English and Spanish. It helps parents understand student scores and reports, view sample test questions for both the Initial and the Summative ELPAC. It also provides additional resources to support their child’s learning.
