Students in grades 3 through 5 will take the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) in English Language Arts and Math. Our priority is to keep our students and educators safe by following state, county, and local health and safety requirements associated with the current pandemic. For this reason, students will take their assigned tests remotely. We were supposed to be taking the state test in April but they have pushed the test back to May 3rd, which will be the start date if the state decides to go through with testing. 

To make sure that each student receives the most accurate score, we are providing the following guidelines for student testing:

1.   You may assist your child with setting up the technology used to enter the test session.
2.   To keep the test fair for all students, we ask that you do not talk about the questions on the test or any materials for the test with anyone before, during, or after the test.
3.   No one may record the test, or use a camera or another device to take pictures of the test questions or of your child taking the test. This helps to keep the questions confidential.
4.   If students are using a personal device, the secure browser will need to be installed. Step-by-step directions are available at our website. However, we recommend that each child check out one of our school devices for testing. 
5.   We need to know that the test is being completed by your child without any help. To verify compliance, a web camera and microphone will be used to observe your child while taking the test. The camera is only used to observe your child and the surroundings during the test and will not record the session. Per state mandate all students must keep their camera on during testing. 
6.   Please follow all instructions given by the test administrator or examiner. 

Los estudiantes en los grados 3 a 5 tomarán la Evaluación de Desempeño y Progreso del Estudiante de California (CAASPP) en Artes del Lenguaje Inglés y Matemáticas. Nuestra prioridad es mantener seguros a nuestros estudiantes y educadores siguiendo los requisitos de salud y seguridad estatales, del condado y locales asociados con la pandemia actual. Por esta razón, los estudiantes tomarán sus pruebas asignadas de forma remota. Se suponía que íbamos a tomar el examen estatal en abril, pero lo retrasaron hasta el 3 de mayo, que será la fecha de inicio si el estado decide seguir adelante con el examen.

      5. Necesitamos saber que su hijo está completando el examen sin ayuda. Para verificar el cumplimiento, se utilizará una cámara web y un micrófono para observar a su hijo mientras realiza el examen. La cámara solo se utiliza para observar a su hijo y los alrededores durante el examen y no grabará la sesión. Por mandato estatal, todos los estudiantes deben mantener su cámara encendida durante las pruebas.
