Workability is a state funded program that provides pre-employment skills training, worksite training and follow up services for youth (age 12 - 22) in Special Education who are making the transition from school to work.
Our High School WorkAbility Programs provides comprehensive pre-employment skills training, employment placement and follow-up for high school students in special education who are making the transition from school to work, independent living and postsecondary education or training.
Our WorkAbility Transition Case Technicians provide secondary students with an understanding of job seeking and job keeping skills. The employability of students improves through on-campus pre-vocational opportunities, referrals to agencies that assist with employment support like the Department of Rehabilitation or Jobs for Youth, and to volunteer opportunities. In addition, Our Workability Transition Case Technicians provide coaching and 2 year follow along support services to increase the potential for ongoing student employment success.
Our WorkAbility Program seeks employers in the business community who will give students with special needs a chance to prove themselves in a competitive, integrated employment setting.
